Needwood Foods was established in 1994 by John Williams, who is still the company Chairman today. He has over 35 years experience of the dried fruit business. The Managing Director, Fiona Bavester, has been with the company since 1997.
The strength of the company is based on expert knowledge of the markets, and a close working relationship with each of our origin partners.
Our company philosophy is to process and pack dried fruit in its country of origin, enabling us to offer retailers an excellent quality, full traceability and the benefits associated with low overhead cost structure.
Our business has grown year on year and we are now one of the UKs largest importers of pre packed private label dried fruit. We are currently suppliers of Californian raisins, Greek currants, Turkish sultanas, apricots and figs, Californian and Chilean prunes in addition to dried fruit mixtures. We supply own label retail packs to leading UK supermarkets.
Our office is located in Burton Upon Trent, at the Pirelli Stadium, the home of Burton Albion FC. We are proud to be associated with the football team and are one of the club’s sponsors.
